Measuring Sustainability Literacy of Our Students
The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa actively measures the sustainability literacy of its students to understand their knowledge, awareness, and engagement in sustainable practices.
In 2024, a survey of 1,362 students was conducted using a 10-question questionnaire, the results showed:
· ~50% of students have an average understanding of sustainability concepts
· ~25% demonstrate good literacy
· ~5% have very good literacy
· ~20% fall in the poor to fair range
These results provide a baseline for enhancing sustainability education across the university. By understanding where students currently stand, we can:
· Design targeted workshops, seminars, and initiatives
· Embed sustainability more deeply in curricula and campus programs
· Encourage students to move from average awareness toward strong sustainability literacy
Through systematic measurement and follow-up actions, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa is committed to developing an informed, responsible, and proactive student community that contributes to sustainable development locally and globally.
