The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa is a private, not-for-profit institution established in 2017 in Karbala, Iraq, under the patronage of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (A.S). While still a young university, we are built on a foundation of ethical responsibility, public service, and a deep commitment to societal advancement.
Sustainability is embedded in our institutional DNA. From our earliest days, we have aligned our strategic vision with the principles of sustainable development—drawing inspiration from the wider humanitarian and environmental mission of our founding body. Our academic programmes, research initiatives, and campus operations reflect this commitment, with a growing focus on advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We are proud to be part of a global movement in higher education that promotes environmental stewardship, social equity, and inclusive growth. Through meaningful action, cross-sector partnerships, and participation in frameworks such as UI GreenMetric and the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, we aim to position the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa as a national model for sustainability in higher education by 2030.
We invite you to explore our initiatives, connect with our community, and follow our journey toward a more sustainable future.
