Anti-Harassment Policy

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every member of its community. The Anti-Harassment Policy (Version 1.0, 2025) applies to all academic and administrative staff, students, contractors, and visitors across all university settings , including classrooms, laboratories, offices, campus facilities, and university-organised events, as well as electronic communications conducted through university platforms.

The policy prohibits all forms of harassment, including:

• General harassment linked to any protected characteristic

• Sexual harassment, including unwanted physical contact, suggestive language, or sharing of explicit material

• Bullying and persistent offensive behaviour or abuse of power

• Online and cyber harassment, including offensive messages and unauthorised sharing of personal information

Every member of the UOWA community has the right to study and work free from harassment, to submit a complaint without fear of retaliation, and to have that complaint handled with strict confidentiality.

Harassment incidents may be reported through multiple channels:

• EDI Committee Chairperson (written or in-person)

• Human Resources Department (staff employment matters)

• Dean or College Head (student academic matters)

• Anonymous reporting form available on the UOWA website

All formal complaints are acknowledged within five working days and investigated within thirty working days. Where harassment is substantiated, disciplinary action will be applied up to and including termination of employment or expulsion.

The University also provides pastoral support, counselling referrals, and academic accommodations to any affected individual, regardless of investigation outcome. This policy is owned by the EDI Committee and reviewed every two years.
