EDI Committee

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Committee The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has established a permanent Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee , issued under the authority of the University President in accordance with Iraqi Higher Education Law No. 40 of 1988 and the UOWA Institutional Charter. The EDI Committee serves as a standing advisory and oversight body reporting directly to the University President. Its mandate includes:

  • Advising university leadership on all matters related to equality, diversity, inclusion, and human rights
  • Developing and overseeing the implementation of EDI policies and programmes• Promoting awareness and training on anti-discrimination and anti-harassment across campus
  • Receiving and investigating complaints related to discrimination or harassment
  • Reporting annually on the University's progress in achieving EDI objectives

The Committee is composed of senior academic and administrative representatives, a student representative elected by the Student Union, and a legal/compliance adviser, reflecting the University's commitment to inclusive governance.

The EDI Committee convenes a minimum of four times per academic year, and its annual report is published on the University's official website.
