Energy Usage per Square Metre

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa  calculates energy use density as total energy used in 2025, in gigajoules (GJ), divided by the floor space of its buildings in square metres. Total energy includes energy generated by the university and energy purchased by the university.

Total Energy Used in 2025 The university's total electricity consumption in 2025 was 1,188,000 kWh, covering the national grid (594,000 kWh), diesel generators (415,800 kWh) and the on-site solar PV system (178,200 kWh).

Calculation 1,188,000 kWh × 0.0036 GJ/kWh = 4,276.8 GJ 4,276.8 GJ ÷ 68,256 m² = 0.0627 GJ/m²

The university's energy use density for 2025 is therefore approximately 0.0627 GJ per square metre.

Data Management Consumption is recorded from grid-supplier invoices, generator fuel/output records, and solar-system production records. The 2025 figure is the baseline against which the lighting retrofit, inverter air-conditioning upgrade and solar-expansion programmes will be measured.
