The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa formally commits to achieving net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. The Net-Zero Roadmap 2025–2040 sets out a structured, five-phase pathway to eliminate all direct and electricity-related carbon emissions over a 15-year transition period, in full alignment with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
Starting from a 2025 baseline of 549 tCO₂ (Scope 1+2), the Roadmap delivers progressive, time-bound reductions through renewable energy deployment, energy efficiency, diesel generator phase-out, fleet electrification, and independent verification.
The Roadmap is overseen by the University Sustainability Committee, reporting to the University President, with annual GHG inventory reports published publicly on the university website from 2025 onwards.
Aligned with SDG 7 (Clean Energy), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption), and SDG 17 (Partnerships).
