Divestment Policy

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (UoWA) has a formal Sustainable Investment Policy that excludes the fossil-fuel industry from its investments. The current version, Version 2.0, was issued in 2025.

Policy Provisions

•      UoWA does not invest in, enter financial partnerships with, or accept funding from organisations whose primary business is the extraction, production, refining or distribution of fossil fuels, including coal, oil and gas.

•      The policy commits the university to investment in renewable energy.

•      The policy commits the university to decarbonising its own operations over time.

Governance: an Investment & Sustainability Committee oversees implementation and checks that investment decisions comply with the policy's sustainability requirements.
