The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (UOWA) promotes responsible and conscious water use across its campus through awareness, student engagement and practical water-management initiatives.
The university encourages students and staff to adopt sustainable water-use practices in academic and residential facilities, with emphasis on reducing unnecessary consumption and supporting efficient use of water resources.
Student-led projects also contribute to water-management awareness by developing practical and low-cost monitoring solutions. These activities connect sustainability education with practical improvements in campus water management and encourage students to participate actively in addressing water challenges.
UOWA further supports conscious water use through ICT-enabled water-management systems. More than 60% of campus buildings are equipped with digital meters capable of monitoring water consumption in real time. Automated irrigation systems linked to soil-moisture sensors support more precise water distribution and help reduce unnecessary irrigation.
The university also uses monitoring systems to identify water losses and improve maintenance. During 2025, 15 water leaks were identified through the monitoring approach, supporting timely intervention and more efficient water management.
Through awareness, student participation and technology-enabled monitoring, UOWA continues to strengthen a culture of responsible water use across the university campus.
