Due to a gradual increase in the culture of smoking and smoking cafes in the Holy City of Karbala, the University of Warith AlAnbiyaa (peace be upon him) is set to be a smoke-free organization completely. We, the top management of the university of Warith AlAnbiyaa A.S., in light of the major health implications posed by smoking, deemed it necessary to introduce a no-smoke culture in our organizations, not just to avoid its serious health hazards for smokers, but to help diminish a second-hand smoke health side effects, for it’s a well-established claim proven by scientific research that second-hand smoke dangers are no less than health detriments being faced by smokers themselves. Also most importantly prepare students to work in smoke-free organizations in the future e.g Hospitals and Junior and Higher Secondary Schools.
